Aarambh
A Home Embracing Light, Space, and Nature
“A home need not be defined by its walls, but by the light it welcomes, the air it breathes, and the quiet conversation it holds with the earth. When boundaries soften, living begins.”

Design Philosophy
At ClayScape, we see a home as a living, breathing space—shaped by light, air, and emotion. Aarambh reflects this ethos, where architecture blurs the lines between indoors and outdoors, structure and sky.
We balanced form and void, using courtyards, verandahs, and garden pockets to bring nature into the heart of the home. Linear geometries meet soft arches, and raw materials like brick, wood, and plaster add warmth and texture.
The designs are grounded yet luminous—spaces that breathe, flow, and quietly tell a story.
Design Details
Aarambh is carefully oriented to harness west-to-east winds, enabling natural ventilation that keeps the home cool year-round. Large openings, skylights, and well-considered volumes allow daylight to flood the interiors, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and enhancing the home’s bright, airy feel. Passive design features such as overhangs, roof cut-outs, and jaali screens create a dynamic play of light and shadow that shifts through the day. The structure uses filler slab techniques to improve insulation and reduce material use, contributing to energy efficiency. Exposed brick jaalis on the north and south façades allow filtered light and air, enabling passive cooling while casting textured patterns that animate the walls.
Living with Nature
Aarambh merges indoors and outdoors through courtyards, sliding doors, and open volumes. Vertical gardens and soft landscaping envelop the home, softening edges and enhancing air quality. Breezeways and open plans ensure passive airflow, creating a calm, breathable living environment.
Expressive Spatial Experience
Aarambh’s spatial design aims to evoke a sensory connection. Colours play a central role—cool blues and greens bring serenity, while warm ochres and terracotta ground the social areas in comfort. Crisp whites amplify natural light, lending a sense of openness. The design features—like sunken lounges, double-height ceilings, and split levels—introduce rhythm and depth, offering a balance of expansiveness and intimacy throughout the home.
